The Batterer's Intervention program is specifically designed to meet the needs of those who have been evaluated as batters, have been arrested more than once, or who have not been granted diversion by the courts. Many of those who attend fit the characteristics of the classical domestic violence offender which suggests that there are deeper issues that need to be addressed.
This program requires 26 sessions. The group for men meets on Monday nights from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. The women's group meets on Saturdays from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
This group requires a Domestic Violence Evaluation which costs $100.00. Due to a backlog of documentation requirements we are not currently accepting BIP evaluations until further notice.
Each Group Therapy Session costs $20 and is paid prior to each of the 26 sessions.
Additional sessions may be required for unapproved absences. If you miss too many groups you might be required to start the program over.
Because of the deeper issues involved in repeat battering or classical domestic violence this is a difficult issue to resolve completely in 26 sessions. However many of our clients have successfully turned their live around through this program. Success will be determined by how much effort your are willing to put into the program and what changes in your life you are willing to make.
